There is an ongoing scam using US Gen. Austin Scott Miller perpetuated through Facebook. I report these fake accounts each week, but because Gen. Miller does not have a verified account, the system does not question, test, or remove these fake accounts. In desperation, I went to each account posting the official notice, telling people Gen. Miller does not use social media. However, in doing so, I was quickly punished for spamming. These fake profiles are used to scam people out of money through a variety of nefarious means, and Facebook is ultimately enabling these crimes.
There are more than 100 accounts, with more being added each day.
