My wife’s account got hacked last night and they apparently changed her email address and password. She received the email for the password change, but not the email address change (not even in her spam folder). She tried to go through the process to regain access and control over her account, and nothing is working.
The text verification code never arrived to her phone (she tried numerous times throughout the night and this morning). She tried to regain access through uploading her ID, and it said that she was unable to do so.
She is now locked out of every aspect of her account, and her profile was hidden as soon as she reported the hacking. She is now unable to access her business pages and messenger, which is very bad, as she is in the middle of a couple client commissions, and Facebook is her method of communicating with her clients.
Not only that, but like many people she has numerous pictures and posts about our son on Facebook and doesn’t want to lose the baby/toddler commentary and quotes that she recorded there.
How can we go about recovering her account? Trying to get ahold of anyone from Facebook is a complete nightmare.
